The Blue Print Press is a private letterpress studio, founded in Vittorio Veneto (Italy) by Janine Raedts in 2013.

My love for books and reading led me to attend first one course (but ended up being several!) letterpress courses. Most of which were held by the late Italian printer Alessandro Zanella (1955 - 2012) of the Ampersand press in Verona. A new chapter was marked by the arrival of an 1865 Hopkinson & Cope Albion hand press and two wooden type cabinets. Both of which were purchased from Hull Art College and shipped to Italy in 2009.

Now more than 10 years on, I still prefer to print carefully chosen poems by letterpress. The primary focus is on hand-made, one-poem pamphlet books printed in very small editions. Illustration often finds a role in my books, taking many forms including linocut, engraving, etching, aquatint, debossing, watercolour and photograph by commissioned visual artists.

My work resides in private, public and institutional collections in the UK, US and Europe.
